• Severe pain (“renal colic”):
– Stone obstructs kidney → Causes hydronephrosis
– Capsular distension → constant flank pain
– Ureteral spasm → pain radiating from flank to groin
• Nausea and vomiting (ileus)
• Urinary frequency and urgency – Due to irritation of bladder by stone near the ureteral orifice (bladder)
• Hematuria
