In the inflation or expansion of the intitial gestures we have begun to discuss, however, all the latter-day variations of the same ethical (and eventually ontological) problematic are repetitions made possible by such early Christian gestures of collaborationism, gestures that amount to the manufacture of identity premised on the disavowal of a “rebellious” Jewish element worthy of katechontic reprisal.
