Fetal Kick Counts:
• Perception of fetal movement by mother
• Several acceptable protocols exist (ex. 6 kicks in 1 hour, 10 in 2 hours) usually dependable by ~30 weeks
• Failure to meet criteria (“decreased fetal movement”) requires immediate assessment
