It may also be associated with acute glomerulonephritis, specific drugs that impair renin release (NSAIDs and calcineurin inhibitors), tubulointerstitial disease, and drugs that reduce aldosterone production (ACE inhibitors, cyclooxygenase inhibitors, and heparin).
