Besides using process maps to show how work is performed, or how you want it to be performed, there are other uses for process maps:

Evaluate or establish alternative ways to organize employees for work performance.
Quickly learn what your group, team, or department provides to the rest of the organization, and vice versa.
Identify improvement opportunities.
Evaluate, establish, or strengthen performance measures.
