Reserved Instance
^^ On Demand is the one we use at work, where there is not upfront commitment and you just pay by the hour
^^^ Reserved Instance is you signup for 1 to 3 year contract for instance and you get reduced hourly rate
^^^^ Spot Instance is you bid for the extra unused EC2s that AWS has, but if your bid value is less than the going rate at any moment, AWS can terminate your instance on short notice (using it for EKS, kubernetest is good option)
^^^^^ Dedicated Host is you but a whole server that does not used shared virtualization, for cases where you have special licensing needs like Oracle installation or security needs (like government stuff)
