The autofeather system has a protective circuit so that once one propeller is autofeathered, the other propeller can not be. To accomplish this, there are switches in each autofeather circuits lines that inhibit the autofeather signal if the other one has been already autofeathered. In the event that both engines fail at the same time, neither of the propellers will be autofeathered.
