Cross Zone Load Balancing
^^ So if you have 2 instances in Zone/subnet A and 4 in Zone/Subnet B, when ELB DNS gets the requests, it will send first one to Zone A ELB node, and second one to zone B ELB node, but each node can go cross zone so that the Zone A EC2 instances do not get overwhelmed (since there are just 2 of them).
