If you look back on the history of computing, most society-wide shifts have happened not when impossible things have become possible but when possible things have become easy. Bridging the gap between possible and easy requires effective infrastructure, which is the topic of this book

data scientists and engineers are expected to build end-to-end solutions to business problems, of which models are a small but important part. Because this book focuses on end-to-end solutions, we say that the data scientist’s job is to build data science applications.
