• (Marmaduke Pickthall): In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi

• (Yusuf Ali): Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds;
• (Marmaduke Pickthall): Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena

• (Yusuf Ali): Most Gracious, Most Merciful;
• (Marmaduke Pickthall): The Beneficent, the Merciful.

ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Alrrahmani alrraheemi

• (Yusuf Ali): Master of the Day of Judgment.
• (Marmaduke Pickthall): Master of the Day of Judgment,

مَٰلِكِ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ

Maliki yawmi alddeeni

• (Yusuf Ali): Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek.
• (Marmaduke Pickthall): Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help.

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ

Iyyaka naAAbudu wa-iyyaka nastaAAeenu

• (Yusuf Ali): Show us the straight way,
• (Marmaduke Pickthall): Show us the straight path,

ٱهْدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ

Ihdina alssirata almustaqeema

• (Yusuf Ali): The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.
• (Marmaduke Pickthall): The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ ٱلْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

Sirata allatheena anAAamta AAalayhim ghayri almaghdoobi AAalayhim wala alddalleena
